Composer Brian Balmages was the featured conductor in a program of his music at Jacksonville University on February 18, 2023. This partner concert included the JU Wind Ensemble and the First Coast Wind Symphony in a series featuring noted contemporary American composers. Here is his website.
The appreciative audience enjoyed a variety of works written from 2000-2022. His music was both exciting and moving, and his conducting was superb!
